Following the injury he sustained in the 2018 World Cup qualifier between Super Eagles of Nigeria and Chipolopolo of Zambia, midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is to undergo scan when he returns to King Power stadium.

The former Genk of Belgium midfielder sustained what looked like a hamstring injury at the tale end of the clash.

He was forced to limp off during the 1-0 victory over Zambia on Saturday, with the coaching staff unwilling to take a risk with him.

The reports coming from Leicester indicates that the club has concluded an arrangement to send for scan when he arrives to assess the level of the injury.

His performance helped Nigeria secure their spot at the World Cup finals but Ndidi now faces a race against time before returning to club duty.

Ndidi who is expected to return to England on Tuesday will have the opportunity to rest well as the Foxes will not play until Monday when they will face West Bromwich Albion.
